announced today that it has entered into a scientific collaboration with
The Immunological Genome Project to provide microarray expression
profiling services for this NIH funded project.
The project will generate, under rigorous standardized conditions, a
complete microarray dissection of gene expression in the immune system
of the mouse. The focus is on primary cells ex vivo. The cells will be
analyzed through different states of maturation, innate or adaptive
immune responses, effector stages and different tissue localization. Dr.
Christophe Benoist, Principal Investigator for the project, said, “We

Expression Analysis is expected to process thousands of mouse specimens
over the next couple years. With the company’s
capacity to process over 80,000 arrays per year on the Affymetrix and
Illumina platforms and the additional capacity of the Heliscope next
generation DNA sequencer technology, Expression Analysis is capable of
performing hundreds of such projects each year. “We

The Immunological Genome Project is a NIH funded consortium. A
collaborative project whose goal is to generate gene expression
profiles, and construct genetic regulatory works, for all populations
and subpopulations of immunological cells in the mouse. It is a
